The sites were under near-constant attack, but remained online as our 24/7 security operations center (SOC) delivered responsive service and adjusted mitigation measures appropriately. The Solution The Oracle Dyn WAF was deployed to secure a series of domains with a combined total of 42 TB/month and 20,000 requests per second (RPS). The customer's users accessed our management portal using integrated single sign-on (SSO) capability. As part of Oracle Dyn Bot Manager, our proprietary JavaScript Challenge helped identify and mitigate malicious bot traffic to maintain server resources. The JavaScript Challenge is one of the request handlers we developed to identify and manage bot traffic. As a core capability of the Oracle Dyn platform, JavaScript Challenge works by injecting a small snippet of JavaScript on each web page served by our security runtime to generate an alert or block response if the challenge is failed by a bot that is not JavaScript-aware. 4 Domains 128 Mbps Bandwidth 30 Million Monthly Visitors 67/250 Active WAF Rules
