By leveraging an updated signature library, the client can flag and block suspicious uploads that could result in a broader infection of trusted systems and users. The Challenge Many web sites and services permit file uploads to enable the submission of documentation or request processing. Such interfaces are a vector for threat actors to gain a foothold and implant malware payloads and disrupt the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of consumer-facing systems. This banking firm required protection from such threats, in real time, at the edge of their network. The Solution Oracle Dyn developed a new rule and process to conduct antivirus scanning in real time. In addition to looking for malware payloads, the customer wished to restrict file types. The management portal provided unparalleled visibility and control over traffic to this particular service. The figure here shows the volume of response code when a request is rejected, compared to those permitted. Challenge Protect web properties from malicious uploads.
