Unlike traditional malware scanning services, Oracle Dyn Malware
Protection is performed in-line, as part of the HTTP transaction. Flexible
configuration allows for performing scans based on a variety of factors,
including content size and type, request pattern, and geolocation IP
information. Request and response bodies can be inspected based on
these criteria, providing protection for both potential malicious file upload
targeting a website, and against unknowingly hosting and spreading
malicious content.
By integrating this level of file inspection directly as part of their transaction
process, this large banking firm was able to greatly reduce threats from
malware and proactively improve their security posture.
